A Rustic Nature-Inspired Wedding in Malibu Canyon
Saturday, March 15 2014
Nature served as the inspiration for Annie and Gregg's Malibu Canyon wedding. The couple chose Triunfo Creek Vineyards as their location and then transformed the rolling hillsides, open fields, and quaint barnhouses into a beautiful outdoor soiree. Friends and family gathered under a giant oak tree, dripping with white blooms and eucalyptus vines, to watch the lovers exchanged handwritten vows. With the sun shining and an engraved heart-shaped wreath hanging between them, it was exactly the storybook ceremony that Annie and Gregg had envisioned.
The outdoor trend continued into the bohemian-chic inspired reception. Long, outdoor tables were lined with mix-matched vases and bursting with lush flowers. The organic color scheme featured blush tones, peaches, creams, and yellows and was accented with greens and herbs that filled the area with their natural aroma. The bride's dad used handmade wood and nails to create table numbers and warm lights were draped above the crowd to tie together the rustic affair.
For Annie and Gregg, it was all about the little details; her custom-designed pink dress, the fully styled airstream trailer, the unique menu cards and farm-to-table cuisine-- the photos speak for themselves. The night came together flawlessly and will be cherished in their memories for years and years to come.
