How would you describe what you do?

We can finish sentences in the design process and see the joy in the brides' eyes when she realizes we "get her," bring on the perfect florist for the event style from the get-go to the brides relief, thrilled with seeing our couples' faces when they realize their dream wedding came to life, come ready and armed with a sewing kit when a bridesmaid dress strap breaks, serve a glass of champagne to the bride before she realizes she wants it, provide a calming presence and diffuse a sticky situation with poise...all of these things have one thing in common - a proactive approach. We provide peace of mind through experience and preparation. We know what the couple needs before they do – and this is a repeated sentiment from each of our clients.


How long have you been in the business?

I have been involved with events for over 17 years and have owned my company for almost 9 years.


What is your philosophy of a wedding planner and their role in helping brides and grooms plan their wedding?

Trust is the most important aspect of what I do - in earning it and keeping it throughout the process; to make sure my couples understand that I am their advocate first and will be transparent in my efforts for them; make the best recommendations possible for their event, personalities and style. Provide thought leadership and reasoning for the "why" but allow my couples to keep their voice and make the decisions best for them and their wedding, always with quality and attention to detail in mind.


Do you offer packages? If so, what are they?

I do not offer packages. While I have a general collection of services as a starting point, my services are tailored to my couples’ needs. By having a personalized service specific to you, this means you get exactly what you need for the event you envision.


What is your most popular package and why?

My most popular service is complete event design, planning and coordination with an emphasis in a “destination wedding” planning format, be it for Hawaii, Temecula or Palm Springs. Because we specialize in a visual planning approach, our niche is in providing peace of mind through the design process for those couples who are indeed planning a wedding more than 50 miles from where they live, or more commonly, busy professionals who aren’t able to plan “in person” as much as they would like to but still want to have creative collaboration, which we encourage.


Are you able to counsel me on wedding etiquette?

Advising on proper wedding etiquette, whether it be invitation wording to sensitive family situations, is one of the main benefits of hiring a wedding consultant to guide the couple through the entire process. We are always available to our brides and grooms for etiquette advice.


How do you charge? What are your rates?

I charge a flat fee that corresponds to a detailed service description. I do not mark up any vendor services or charge a percentage of your budget. Pricing transparency is very important as part of my philosophy and in building trust.



“Let me just preface by saying that my wedding venue (Callaway Vineyards in Temecula) prides itself in offering two venue coordinators as part of their wedding package. So, knowing that, my husband and I initially thought that it would be a waste of money to hire an event designer/wedding coordinator. As the planning progressed, we found that the term "venue coordinator" and "wedding coordinator" tends to be used interchangeably, when it's not the same thing. The Venue Coordinator will help assist you with all things venue-specific, but they're role doesn't include helping you with design thought leadership, timeline development, contacting all vendors, etc. Anyway, my point is that I realized TWO months before the wedding that I had to literally do everything myself....that is, until we hired Michelle and Samantha!! I’m so glad that we did! Michelle worked with us for our event design & I am pleased with how everything turned out. Michelle provides thought leadership in her design recommendations & she will flat out tell you if something would look tacky or out of whack for your theme. So, just know that you are getting professional insights and the results definitely show. In the end, we had so many compliments from our guests as to how tasteful and beautiful our wedding looked! “Magazine-worthy”, as some said. She is also responsive and was great at working with our venue to ensure that details were ironed out. Samantha was our day-of-coordinator and she was always there for us and our guests when anyone had any questions. She truly made everyone feel taken care of and comfortable. Also, Samantha ensured that I always had the wine I wanted at my table (with everything going on, a lot of brides don’t even get to eat or drink at their own wedding – so I really appreciated how she looked out for me so that I could enjoy my own wedding).
