How would you describe what you do?

I have the best job in the world. I help my brides and grooms see the big picture of their wedding day from the first meeting. I negotiate the best deals for them while keeping everyone organized, which allows my clients to have fun and enjoy the planning process. I am a friend when emotional situations arise, and a calming presence when they become overwhelmed or stressed. On the wedding day I put out the fires before anyone ever knows about them and strive to make their wedding day as close to perfect as possible.


How long have you been in the business?

I opened my business 5 years ago and have planned over 100 weddings.


What is your philosophy of a wedding planner and their role in helping brides and grooms plan their wedding?

A planners job is to make the wedding planning process as fun and stress-free as possible so the client can reflect on their engagement as an exciting time in their life that was properly managed. Planners guide the client on everything from overall design, to the budget, to menu wine pairing... we are full of information and our guidance is worth every penny.


Do you offer packages: If so, what are they?

My company has 5 packages that range from planning a weekend of wedding events to month-of wedding day execution. My packages and prices are published on my website so the client understands that I charge based on the amount of work required rather than based on their overall wedding budget.


What is your most popular package and why?

Most brides book us for full planning. They quickly realize how valuable it is to have a professional guide them to through the the entire process and help them choose what to prioritize. There is also a trust that is built between myself and the client that makes them feel confident about their wedding day going smoothly. That relationship is built over time.


Are you able to counsel me on wedding etiquette?

Absolutely, I consider guidance on etiquette a very important part of a wedding planners job. The client is paying for knowledge and experience.


How do you charge? What are your rates?

I charge a flat rate for each planning package. My prices range from $3,000-$14,000


Is there anything else you would like me to know?

Before opening my business 5 years ago I managed large feature films for 10 years. This prepared me for "producing" weddings, overseeing vendors, and making sure the final product was one to be proud of. This has set me apart from other planners because my background is truly unique.
