Finding a photo booth at the right price wasnʼt in the cards for David Grace and Jennie Gilman. So they took matters into their own hands and designed a truly custom creation. “We wanted the photo booth to have a glamorous Hollywood feel to complement the theme of our reception and be quirky and fun,” explains Jennie. David set to work building the plywood frame that was upholstered by Jennie and her mom in a black and silver Art Deco fabric and accented with vintage crystal sconces, a chandelier and painted frames, from which guests peeked out for the photo. But the sweetest addition came late in the game, says Jennie. “At the last possible second, I raced back home and gathered up all my favorite family photos, grabbed my screwdriver and returned to the venue to further embellish our creation.” The end result created the feeling of a photo collage on a hallway wall, making each guest a part of the family portrait.
