Georgetown Cupcake
made its Los Angeles debut on Thursday, November 15th, in true
Hollywood style - a grand opening complete with a pink carpet, celebrity
appearances, champagne, and of course cupcakes. It all began back in
2008 when co-founders and sisters Katherine Kallinis Berman and Sophie
Kallinis LaMontagne opened their first location in Washington, DC. Now
they are stars of the hit TLC show "DC Cupcakes," have five store
locations, and are best-selling authors with their books "The Cupcake
Diaries" and "Sweet Celebrations." The adorable Los Angeles storefront,
located on Robertson Boulevard, opened its doors to the public on
November 17th and has been serving delectable confections in a wide
variety of flavors (salted caramel, oreo, and strawberry are just a few
of the offerings we've sampled). And they only bake with the highest
quality ingredients - which is really the icing on the cake.
