The couple met at Nareh’s best friend’s wedding in September 2015 at the Taglyan Complex. Two years later, Nick and Nareh celebrated their union at the same venue.  As a designer, Nareh planned the day from top to bottom, giving a personal touch to each element of the reception. Neutral hues combined with pops of pinks and greens set the scene for the reception, where a neon sign reading “The Hovsepians” lit up the space. A theme of ’70s retro-modern led to the inclusion of banana leaves and white roses to create two unique centerpieces, both displayed in towering glass vases, echoing Nareh’s classic bouquet full of white roses. Nareh and Nick presented each guest with a lottery ticket, expressing their hopes that they would win the jackpot just as they had when they met.

The bride and groom danced to “The Wonder of You” by Nareh’s favorite vocalist, Elvis Presley. The tune perfectly captured the feelings of the moment when the couple first met and amplified the ’70s vibe of the celebration. Traditional Armenian music played as the couple walked hand in hand into the reception, where they were greeted by their guests on the dance floor. The upbeat music also served as the inspiration for Nick and his mother’s first dance, when they broke into a traditional Armenian dance, surprising guests and inviting them all to the dance floor. A showstopping seven-tiered cake graced with white roses and gold accents served as both a decadent dessert and a beautiful piece of decor.
