Following an epic surprise proposal, Gabbi and Alex started planning their perfect wedding, knowing that they wanted a venue with both incredible architecture and amazing food. Downtown Los Angeles’ historic Vibiana was the perfect place for their sophisticated style. With the venue’s dramatic cathedral setting and renowned chef and owner Neal Fraser of Redbird and Vibiana planning the menu, it was everything they wanted. Their inspiration paid homage to the famous Beverly Hills Hotel, where the couple spent the night after becoming engaged, and combined it with Gabbi’s vision for a tropics-meets-California vibe. The traditional Jewish ceremony took place in the picturesque courtyard, where tropical flowers in lovely hues of pink combined with palm leaves and greenery adorned the chuppah. The bright, leafy design continued into Vibiana’s main hall, where a gorgeous black and white palette, accented with pops of pink and green, was accompanied by romantic pink lighting. Two of the couple’s friends are in the band Phantom Planet, so as a surprise for the couple, they took the stage for a few songs in a small, impromptu reunion. Their set was followed by the rolling out of a giant screen which revealed a video message from Gabbi’s favorite band, Hanson. After much squealing and excitement from the guests, the DJ kept the energy going by immediately cueing up “Mmmbop,” and the epic dance party began.
