How would you describe what you do?
I want my couples to have the absolute best memories of their
wedding day. I like to take the couples tastes and interests and
elevate it to a level that they didn't know existed. There is nothing
better than a bride and groom walking in and seeing their venue fully
set up, with aw and disbelief at how beautiful everything looks. I love
watching them walk over to a table, taking in all of the details, from
the napkin rings, to the china, glassware, chargers, the beautiful
calligraphy and a sweet hand wrapped gift for each guest. I love
watching them run their fingers over the gorgeous letter pressed menus
and seeing the bride's face light up at the flawless blooms pouring out
of the hand selected vessels. Everything is special and meaningful and
it shows through in the details.
It's important that the process leading up to the big day is just as special as the wedding day itself. I plan entire weddings or I can come in a month before and bring to life all of the hard work that you've devoted to your wedding day. How long have you been in the business?
What is your philosophy of a wedding planner and their role in helping brides and grooms plan their wedding?
It is important to hire your planner either first or right after
booking the venue. I get to know my couples, their likes and dislikes,
so building a team that will suit their personalities is a great asset
to them, not to mention can help financially.
Wedding planners should be a calm, positive and joyful presence. There is so much going on for the couple on their wedding day and the days leading up to their wedding, so it is our job, as the planner, to ease those jitters.
Do you offer packages: If so, what are they?
Month-of Planning, Partial Planning and Full Service
What is your most popular package and why?
All three are very popular. Partial Planning is probably the most
popular because couples like to be involved but it can be daunting
having to manage every detail. It's also at a great price point. My
Partial Planning Package includes everything in the Month-of Package,
plus the complete management of two wedding services of their choice.
Some popular choices are design, invitations, vendor liaison, budget, but the list is long so couples can choose which services best suit their needs.
Are you able to counsel me on wedding etiquette?
How do you charge? What are your rates?
I charge by the package. Prices start at $2000 and go up to $10,000.
Is there anything else you would like me to know?
All planners have their unique styles. I am a very laid back person
by nature. I am happiest when I am at home with my husband, son and two
pugs. I love entertaining. Almost every weekend, that I am not at a
wedding, I have friends over for freshly made cocktails and yummy food.
My philosophy is if you have an open heart, are kind and sincere life will be beautiful!
