How would you describe what you do?
What I do is plan the most incredible wedding planning experience for my clients. First and foremost I am a wedding planner. Assisting the client with all aspects of their wedding day and making sure they are making the right choices to fit within their budget. Secondly, I am a wedding designer, making sure that visually the clients wedding is all they pictured and works harmoniously with their aesthetic as well as the environment.
How long have you been in the business?
I have been in business since 2000. I started Percy Sales Events in Dallas, Texas. When I moved back to California in 2003 I continued my business in Santa Barbara.
What is your philosophy of a wedding planner and their role in helping brides and grooms plan their wedding?
My philosophy is that I am the sounding board and the voice of reason when it comes to planning my clients wedding. I am the one that takes all the hopes and dreams - but make it happen realistically within the client's budget. I believe that we can achieve what the client wants but it may have to be streamlined and re-imagined. As a wedding planner I believe that my job is to make sure that the entire process is seamless, stressfree and one that is remembered joyfully.
Do you offer packages? If so, what are they?
I offer three packages. My Diamond Package is my full planning and design package. My Pearl Package is my month-of package. My Jade Package is my week of package. I also offer ala carte services to my Pearl and Jade packages to help assist my clients with items they might need and is not covered within those packages.
What is your most popular package? Why?
Most of my clients hire me for my Diamond Package because they want someone on the journey with them from beginning to end, or want someone who can help them creatively with all the aspects of their wedding day.
How do you charge? What are your rates?
I charge a flat rate for all my packages.
Are you able to counsel me on wedding etiquette?
As a wedding planner, wedding etiquette counsel is always part of any package I offer.
Do you offer any other special services?
I offer an array of à la carte services, especially for those clients looking at destination weddings. This includes Destination Management Services to make sure that the client and their guests have an enjoyable time from the time they step on the airplane to the time they leave the destination.
