Andrew & Marissa: Delightfully Lush Celebration at Triunfo Creek Vineyard
Andrew planned a romantic two-night backpacking trip to Thunder Lake in Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park, where he proposed to Marissa beside a lake at sunrise. Although the hike went less than stellar for Marissa after one boot broke only one mile into an 8-mile hike, she graciously accepted the proposal, and went on to find her parents awaiting the two at the bottom of the trail.
Marissa’s dream of getting married in a vineyard while dancing under the stars came true at Triunfo Creek Vineyards in Agoura Hills. And while both love exploring new wines, one of Andrew’s must-haves was an abundance of candlelight and hammocks for the guests to kick back and stargaze.
A color scheme of ivory and green with hints of lavender, set the scene for an earthy and elegant atmosphere. Marissa’s bouquet was pure lavender, while the table designs included old, sun-bleached grapevine dripping with bunches of green grapes and antique roses. Urns of field flowers, herbs and grapes decorated the reception space while the aisle was lined with fabric covered boxes overflowing with coordinating arrangements. Adding to the elegant atmosphere, the tables were set with fine china and crystal paired with antique hanging lanterns in the trees.
Florist Brad Austin incorporated Marissa’s beloved, childhood blanket into the fabric swag of the custom-made Chuppah’s flower ceiling. A small swatch was also stitched inside Marissa’s wedding gown.
The most enjoyed food of the night proved to be the groom’s favorite bite, Petit Couchon dans Couveturs, also known as “pigs in a blanket." Guests also sipped drinks from the Cappuccino Express coffee bar.
