Chris & Jun: Contemporary Black Tie Wedding at Historic San Francisco Mansion
Two very different cultures collided in Tokyo in romantic bliss for Chris and Jun. After Jun joyfully accepted Chris’ passionate proposal at the Ritz Carlton overlooking Central Park in New York City, the two agreed they wanted an intimate and modern wedding that would represent both of their cultures.
With Chris being the GM of a Ritz Carlton in China, and Jun studying fashion design, there was no doubt the nuptial affair would be anything short of modern and jaw-dropping. Striking details beautifully adorned the couple’s black-tie wedding at The James Leary Flood Mansion in San Francisco.
Jun wowed their guests by dressing in an exquisite traditional kimono for the ceremony while changing into a sleek black suit and tie for their cocktail hour and reception. There was not a dry eye during the ceremony when the grooms exchanged their vows, especially when Chris awed everyone’s hearts as he recited his vows to Jun in Japanese. To finalize their ceremony, Chris and Jun served each other’s families sake in respect and honor of their cultural values.
During cocktail hour guests snacked on sashimi and sushi rolls, and when they entered the reception they were greeted with delicately folded origami cranes at each of their place settings. A live jazz trio set the mood for the evening as the party dined and celebrated while enjoying dazzling views of the city under the opulence of the historic San Francisco mansion.
