Gayle & Curtis: New Year's Eve Bash at The Vintage Ranch
At their "old Hollywood meets rustic barn" affair in Paso Robles, Curtis and Gayle knew that they wanted to do something different than the traditional wedding. The bride, of Trumpet Vine Catering based on the central coast, decided on a New Year's Eve wedding with all of their closest family and friends.
An overflowing bouquet by Pancea Event Floral Design of deep pinks, creams and blushes was beautifully highlighted with elegant greenery and of course, bright pops of gold to incorporate the old Hollywood vibe. The gold-dipped leaves added a fun yet classy element to the bouquet. The newlyweds opted to forgo the traditional bridal party, opting for only a ringbearer and flowergirl. Curtis and Gayle said their vows beneath a grand oak tree at the Vintage Ranch where the affair was held. "I was never the type of person to dream about my wedding but I always knew it would be under an oak tree," says Gayle. "The tree at Vintage Ranch is magical."
The couple had their photos taken by Studio Lux Photography next to rustic trucks and among the vines, creating intimate and romantic shots sure to be cherished. Curtis and Gayle were accompanied by their dog in a few shots next to the barn on the property, enhancing the laid back and easy-going personality of the couple.
Held in an outdoor tent as well as a rustic barn, the reception acted as both a celebration of the couple and a New Year's Eve party. Food was presented throughout the night, with hors d'oeuvres by Trumpet Vine Catering, a taco bar from the couple's favorite Mexican restaurant, mini doughnuts by Sugar Lips and lastly, a snack bar at the end of the evening for guests to fill up with some of the couple's favorite junk food before calling it a night. DIY centerpieces stole the show, bathed in gold and dark pinks, blending seamlessly into the decor. Inspired by Curtis' love of concerts, a balloon drop was held at midnight to mock concerts on New Year's Eve. Guests danced to music provided by DJ John Walker alongside the couple to ring in the new year.
