Mary Ann Gilkenson and Dylan Russell were planning an early summer 2020 wedding of 250+ guests in sunny Seal Beach. They had planned a traditional Catholic mass ceremony followed by a reception celebration at Old Ranch Country Club. COVID-19 hit just months before their big day, putting Mary Ann and Dylan's wedding on a complete hold. At this time, they thought that they were going to have to cancel their wedding indefinitely, but as the summer arrived and new socially distanced event regulations were announced, they adjusted their wedding plans to comply with these new rules. The guest list was drastically reduced, with tables holding individuals only from the same household and were spaced apart for social distancing. Mary Ann and Dylan also provided their guests with customized face masks and placed hand sanitizer stations around the reception space. They were also granted special permission to hold their Catholic mass ceremony outside of the church doors ouside due to COVID. The outdoor space at Old Ranch Country Club perfectly complemented chosen neutral and blush colors of this wedding. The gazebo was adorned with a statement floral piece by Flowers Etc., who also arranged the table centerpieces and bridal bouquet.
