It was a day of pure glamour for Natalie Berberian and her fiancé Nicholas Kontogiannis after Natalie's Hollywood glamour-inspired Pinterest board nabbed the win for A Good Affair Wedding and Event Production's Bridal Maven Contest. Tasked to create the perfect wedding for A Good Affair’s signature logo, a beautiful silhouette of a bride, Natalie went to work pinning ideas that included metallic gold touches, a bit of sparkle and pleny of chic Hollywood moments. “Since I am a bit addicted to “pinning” it was meant to be that I participate,” says Natalie. “Each time I heard that our board made it to the next step, I was filled with anticipation and excitement. The day I read the email stating we had won, I was ecstatic. We felt so lucky that we would have the chance to experience a once in a lifetime event like this together during this amazing time in our lives. It really goes down in the books and will be something we talk about for years to come.”

Together for about 9 years since the two met while Natalie was still in high school with their first date being Winter Formal and he’s been her date to every dance, prom and special event ever since. On February 16th of last year, Nick sealed the deal with a romantic proposal. The couple were exchanging anniversary-cum-Valentine gifts when Nick presented Natalie with a huge box complete with bow. Inside was a scrapbook titled “A Little More than Memories” that began with the words, Once upon a time and their baby photos. From there, the 50-page book, which included photos and mementos of concert, movie tickets and more, told the story of their relationship with reference to her being the princess and him the prince. The final page had the words “Will you Marry Me?” with a ring hanging from a gold ribbon. And to add to the perfect moment, Nick had arranged to have it all photographed by his friend standing just several hundred feet away.

Making this romantic story even more perfect, the Bridal Maven shoot was exactly one year to the day after he proposed. ““The day of the shoot was like a fairy tale. We felt as if we were celebrities because of the special treatment and pampering we received from all the talented people involved,” says Natalie. “I started my morning off bright and early by getting my hair done in the chic Roberta Vetica salon. Then, I got to dress up like a doll in exquisite gowns by R-Mine Bespoke and have an amazing photoshoot. What girl doesn’t dream of that!”
