In our Fall/Winter Best of 2014 issue of California Wedding Day Magazine, we announced our Best of Bride finalists and winners. We asked five of those winning design teams to take different areas of The Ebell, located in Los Angeles, and transform them into a full experience with various themes. We gave you a sneak peak into a lush “forbidden love” forest and brought you down south to New Orleans, Louisiana. Now, Carmen Fuentes of Expressionary Events sets the stage for an enthralling Parisian circus. Photographer, Brian Leahy, was able to capture the awe-inspiring décor, which featured glamorous, vintage, velvet furniture covered luxurious fabrics and bright colors. The room also contained intricate chandeliers, amazing music by the Replicas, and live models. Yes, live models - in cages. The lovely ladies donned jaw dropping couture gowns courtesy of JLM Couture.
Attendees were able peruse around the room and enjoy a little taste of Paris, thanks to Catering of Paris, Super Cool Creamery, and Hollywood Candy Girls. The menu featured mouth watering Parisian-style crepes, cotton candy, and two signature cocktails – the Frozen French 75 and La Vie en Rose, both served frozen via liquid nitrogen right before your very eyes! The food and beverages were served on a gorgeous bar decorated with opulent floral arrangements courtesy of Flower Duet. Carmen teamed up with Jessica Elizabeth photography and included a unique take on the classic photo booth, the “slo-mo booth”, and provided a variety of fun masks and hats to dress up in. The slo-mo booth was a total hit and had party-goers laughing all night.
Between the stunning décor, gorgeous models, amazing food, music, and overall ambience of the room, Carmen left us with a yearning for more and a strong urge to hop on the next flight out of LAX to Charles de Gaulle and head to the Moulin Rouge.
