Matrimony at Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes Features Distinguished Ocean Details

The underwater beauty of the sea was the theme of Lindsey Taft and Ben Macofsky’s timeless coastal wedding at Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes. Awash in an array of white and ivory blooms, with accents of sweet huckleberry greenery, the floral arrangements at the ceremony imitated vertical coral formations and seaweed, transporting guests to the undersea world. The event design also included objects from the ocean, such as seashells and coral. At the reception, the couple’s heritage was celebrated with the hora, a custom-made watercolor ketubah and the breaking of a glass to symbolize that, under Jewish law, they were entering a covenant to stand by one another, even in hard times. Their enchanting celebration was captured by a painter present at the event to remember the special day. After a joyous evening of dancing (from slow to rave) with their guests, the Macofskys set sail on their journey of marriage and, in the words of Ben, “happy wife, happy life.”
