Opulent Garden Romance at Lloyd Butler Ranch

A homage to generations past, Lauren and Jamie’s exquisite wedding celebrated California elegance. The couple met in New York City in 2017, and after five years, Lauren was finally lured to Jamie’s beloved California—the state her grandfather once called home as a leader in the avocado industry. Both the bride’s and groom’s families boast proud agricultural histories, and it was only natural for the pair to plan a wedding that honored their roots at Jamie’s iconic family home, Lloyd Butler Ranch.

Following an intimate ceremony in the ranch’s consecrated Catholic chapel, the couple’s wedding day welcomed guests into the heart of the ranch’s six-acre garden. An enchanted meadow adorned with bright blooms and the bride’s favorite orchids set an atmosphere of romantic nostalgia. A string quartet swept Lauren down the aisle, and a mariachi band ushered guests to cocktail hour.

The reception was a verdant scene with lush tablescapes, plush green chairs and warm string lights. Charming details—such as stationery subtly featuring a beloved owl—balanced showstopping moments, including a helicopter flyover during the best man’s speech.
