Sweeping ocean views, golden California sunlight and a soft coastal breeze set the scene for Ashley and Nelson’s wedding at Terranea Resort. The couple envisioned a romantic European garden with a French flair, embracing lavender and soft blue tones. “Why go elsewhere when you have breathtaking views right in your hometown?” says Ashley.

After a traditional Hong Kong tea ceremony to honor the groom’s heritage, the couple exchanged vows under a verdant floral arbor, with the shimmering Pacific Ocean as the backdrop. At the reception, florals transformed the ballroom space into an artistic garden tableau—lush with abundant blooms and colors. The result echoed the couple’s European inspiration while remaining distinctly Californian.

Above all, Ashley and Nelson centered their celebration on family. Children were not only welcomed but embraced, filling the dance floor with laughter. “Seeing them truly have fun was incredibly special,” Ashley reflects.
