After years of almost meeting, Ashley and Nathan were introduced at a wedding in Wisconsin, where the bride, Nathan's cousin, happened to be one of Ashley's best friends from college. Ashley was a bridesmaid and Nathan was an usher, and the rest was history. Ashley lived in Los Angeles at the time, while Nathan called London home. The couple had their first date in New York City, where a surprise picnic in Central Park ended with a commitment to meet again. Voyages to London, Los Angeles, France, Colorado, New York and Belgium were soon to follow until Nathan made the move to California. A year after his arrival, Nathan proposed in the Santa Monica mountains with a surprise picnic, just like their first date.
The couple fell in love with the beautiful landscape of La Quinta and thought the warm climate would make it the perfect location for their December weekend wedding. Guests were welcomed to the celebration with a cocktail and dinner reception at the venue, ending with a pool party around the famous Eisenhower pool.
Inspired by delicate greenery and pale florals, the ceremony took place among the scenic mountains and palm trees, a California wedding dream. A dreamy altar adorned in pale pink and white peonies and garden roses flawlessly complemented the baby blue bridesmaid gowns.
An indoor-outdoor reception space highlighted a grand dance floor and formal dining space. Elegant table settings featured lush floral centerpieces and white acrylic table numbers. A gorgeous three-tiered cake by Over the Rainbow accompanied decadent cupcakes and cocktails to close out the lovely wedding celebration.
