DTLA’s historic Vibianaset the stage for the awards show on May 14th, where the wedding industry was celebrated and winners were announced. This year’s event design was truly heaven on earth, flawlessly coordinated and executed by the creative teams ofNicole Alexandra Designs,Bella Vita Events,Kristeen LaBrot EventsandFlawless Weddings & Eventswho joined forces with Vibiana, and lead planners Salynn Simon ofEvents with a Kickand Natalie Sofer ofNatalie Sofer Weddings and Events, plus a talented team of vendors (see full list below) to create an ethereal evening. To create the overall vision and branding for the event, our CWD team worked closely with the creativeJasmin Michelle Designs, who artfully turned out the invitations, signage, dance floor design and more for the evening. Taking the reigns to introduce the guests to the evening, Bella Vita Events and Belle of the Ball Designed created a mystical entrance to the cathedral as if guests were entering the gates of Heaven. From there, Nicole Alexandra and FlorUnique greeted guests with a beautiful, moon-inspired design. Guests gathered next to a pink-shaded balloon wall by Balloonzilla for selfies and photo booth pics while incredible candle decorations by Vogue Candles illuminated the entire cathedral. Found Rental created a stunning seating scene with a gorgeous ombre setting of blush, gray, white and black chairs throughout the space. David Krieger of Krieger emceed the event introducing Publisher Thea Hargrove and Editor-In-Chief Lara Burnap, who wore a beautiful design by local bridesmaid dress designer Pia Gladys Perey, and both were glammed up by Best of 2018 hair and makeup winner and 2019 finalist, Page Beauty.
After the winners were announced, guests mingled in the exquisitely designed spaces by Kristeen Labrot Events and LA Floral Couture in the Vibiana Courtyard and Flawless Weddings and Events in the Garden at Redbird. The premiere gala was beyond one’s wildest dreams, sweeping guests’ off their feet and into the celestial realms where they relaxed amongst the tranquility of middle earth and were transported up the heavenly bodies. Attendees danced the magical night away while enjoying fantastical nibbles from Chef and Owner Neal Fraser of Redbird and artisanal libations from Greenbar Distillery and Tobin Shea of Redbird LA as well as wine fromAncient Peaks Winery in San Luis Obispo.
