Given that James and Timmy’s modern romance began with a sweat session at the iconic Barry’s Bootcamp, their wedding day at La Quinta Resort & Spa was bound to be an energetic affair.

Keen to intertwine their affinity for Ralph Lauren and the midcentury photography of Slim Aarons with the venue’s Spanish-style architecture, the result was a harmonious, one-of-a-kind design. On the lawn at The Grove, Timmy and James were framed by towering palm trees, vibrant florals, and a stunning mountain backdrop as they exchanged vows. Sporting matching white suit coats, vibrant floral boutonnières and custom Stubbs & Wootton smoking slippers embroidered with French bulldogs resembling their own Frenchie, Tito, the couple embodied Palm Springs chic.

Intentionally playful, the grooms sourced wallpaper featuring fruit and foliage for the bold midcentury modern bar and seating chart. An elegant balance was struck with unique lighting fixtures suspended above bright blooms and subtly striped linens, creating texturally rich tablescapes.

The highlight of the night came when the newlyweds hit the dance floor, transforming their celebration into a full-scale pop performance. Leading loved ones through back-to-back hits, they united the party through high-energy music. “We noted that the best gift anyone could give us was to join us on the dance floor, and people delivered,” Timmy and James reflected. Ending the evening dancing alongside their loved ones was the perfect testament to their infectious love—and a joyful way to begin forever.
