Here are a few effective and elegant ways to add a sustainable element into your event to celebrate this year's Earth Day.
Butterflies Take Flight In This Playful Wedding Design
Seizing on her love of all things modern as well as her lifelong affinity for butterflies, bride Leah Hwung drew on her skills as a wedding planner to create a fabulously unique and playful design for her wedding to Justin Lee. Leah’s vision paired the couple’s love for art with their appreciation for the outdoors by bringing modern and abstract elements into a beautiful natural setting. Butterflies became the central theme, drawing on the transformation that butterflies undergo to become beautiful as an allegory for the twists and turns in the couple’s own love story. The bride collaborated with her Two Perfect Events team on a collection of hand-painted and sustainable butterfly art pieces featured throughout the celebration’s setting. These were combined with artful and painterly details, such as a giant yarn installation on the ceremony’s oak tree and sculptural ikebana floral arrangements on the reception tables, to create an elevated and ephemeral party atmosphere.
