Vibiana in Los Angeles was the perfect setting for California Wedding Day’s Best of 2023 gala with its grand ambience and cathedral architecture. The inspiration for this year's timeless, black-tie event was inspired by Chanel and featured a black and white palette. Laura Cardo with Kristin Banta Events, with help from Christine Danielle Tran of Details Details Weddings and Event pulled all the pieces together, while our incredible sponsors delivered an elegant affair to remember.

Inside the ballroom, Natalie Sofer Weddings & Events planned and designed the impeccable decor captured by Katie Ruther Photography. Floral installations by Butterfly Floral & Event Design gave major wow factor to the center alter stage, adhering to the theme. Fashionable rentals from MTB Event Rentals along with stylish black and white chairs from Theoni Collection and linens from Luxe Linen made for a glamorous ballroom design. As guests arrived, delicious champagne from Le Grand Courtage flowed and vino from Ancient Peaks Winery hinting at the celebratory evening to come. Local wedding professionals mixed and mingled for the VIP Hour while enjoying small bites and live music by Moses Lin Music.

This year's Master of Ceremony, Waveform Events, Entertainment & Lighting announced the much-anticipated awards were about to begin, launching with a sizzle reel from Dreamwoood Photography & Cinematography for a breathtaking opening film. Publisher, Thea Hargrove gave welcoming remarks before CEO and Owner, Sonja Babich spoke. Editor in Chief, Lara Burnap presented the Editor’s Choice Awards, the trendiest wins of the wedding season. Finally, The Best of 2023 awards were handed out, based on votes from the public and the California wedding industry with ATM Studios of Vibiana showcasing an incredible new lighting technology to display winners on the ceiling and a show stopping floral design during the dance portion, which wowed everyone.

The wins were a catalyst for celebration as everyone gathered to the courtyard designed and planned by Amanda Holder Events and captured by Jillian Rose Photography. Luxury rentals from Premiere Party Rents flawlessly complemented the breathtaking florals from Precious and Blooming supplied by Fifty Flowers. Balloons from Stars Above Balloons, candles from Vogue Candles added the perfect details. Attendees enjoyed late-night food, dessert from The Butter End, and, of course, more champagne as DJ Bob Stock played upbeat music. The 360-photo booth from Pixster Photo Booth and a California Wedding Day magazine cover photo box created by Rose and Wrench acted as the perfect way to capture memories throughout the event.

The night ended in the gorgeous ballroom, with everyone on the dance floor to enjoy music by the talented Bob Gail Music featuring their nine-piece band! From start to finish the California Wedding Day’s Best of 2023 gala recognized and reveled in the talent and energy of the California wedding industry and community.
