A bright, cheery color palette was on full display for California Wedding Day's Best of 2024 awards at The Majestic. Planned and designed by Amanda Holder Events and Michelle Garibay Events with Laura of Kristin Banta Events as logistics lead, the Henri Matisse inspired event was the perfect way to celebrate the California wedding community. Wedding professionals gathered to grand space for VIP cocktail hour planned by Michelle Garibay Events and were welcomed by vibrant custom installation from Luna Designs Studios. Songs from Tyler Varnell serenaded guests as they enjoyed drinks from Ancient Peaks Winery and noshed on delicious food from Pausmith Group. Strictly Personal Designs' paper goods and signage were the perfect touch to the event. Art was a main theme; Cristina Tudor wowed everyone with their fashion illustrations while Narbeh Leon painted a gown by designer Luly Yang. Candles from Vogue Candles and lighting by Waveform Events added to the unique ambience as attendees mixed and mingled before the awards. Cocktail hour rentals from Found Rental Co. and playful linens from Zaffre Fine Linens effortlessly matched the maximalism theme. As cocktail hour came to a close, the much anticipated awards ceremony began.
As attendees made their way into the awards area, they were greeted with an outstanding design by Michelle Garibay Events. Gorgeous rentals by BRIGHT and the awards stage designed by Luna Design Studios. VIP tables were greeted with complimentary champagne and stunning charcuterie boards from Pausmith Group. Thanks to Page Beauty, Breluxe Beauty and Gundy Diamonds' jewels, the California Wedding Day team was camera-ready. Royal Films' opening video set a lively tone for the awards. Weddings Royale welcomed the crowd before CEO and owner, Sonja Babich delivered an opening speech. Editorial director, Lara Burnap said a few words then presented the editor's choice awards. Sonja Babich was welcomed back to the stage to present the Best of 2024 winners with Lara Burnap.
The wins and awards were a catalyst for celebration as everyone gathered to the reserve and catwalk to continue the celebration. Attendees were once again greeted by botanicals from Leta Verbena, Candles from Vogue Candles and lighting by Waveform Events added to the unique ambience as Davida Rappaport gave Tarot Card readings. Pausmith Group delivered more delicious food with a gorgeous sushi spread, passed mini burgers and endless charcuterie display. Desserts by Just Baked added a little sweetness to the afterparty while guests took advantage of the glow ball pit by Kids Party Rentals Co. and Sweet Beginning Rentals for a fun photo-op. Guests could also document the night with Photobohemia's photo booth. The center of all the fun was the customized dance floor by Shout! and Bob Gail Music rocking the stage with a killer performance. California Wedding Day's Bride's Best of 2024 awards recognized all the talents and hard work the California wedding industry does throughout the year.
