Le Méridien Arcadia served as a distinguished backdrop for a wedding editorial shoot that centered around sumptuous pastel hues and pulled inspiration from Positano, Italy. Conceptualized by Dee Lee of Dee Lee Designs, the shoot brought a talented team of California vendors together to create an homage to European charm that was both sophisticated and whimsical. The palette was designed to draw focus to soft pastel infusions and Dee Lee said a goal was to highlight ways that couples can bring color to their wedding day designs. Positano is known for its unique pastel-hued buildings lining the Amalfi coast, which served as a basis for the vision of this design.

A regal elegance was woven into the many curated details of the day, which explored the vast spaces of Le Méridien Arcadia from a grandiose ballroom to a luscious alfresco ceremony setup. One of the defining characteristics of a pastel palette is the fairytale ambience it evokes; this design explored ways to keep an ethereal vibe while adding in more stately and contemporary flairs. Florals designed by J & L Floral Boutique were overflowing with roses and other distinguished varieties in muted hues of pinks and orange and swathed in vibrant greenery. A live sketch artist was an old-world delight with an elevated allure, and contemporary details like an adorable boba cart added a welcomed splash of modernity. The venue's ballroom hosted an opulent reception design, featuring a showstopping sweetheart table lined with candles and a cloud of florals. A design highlight was the use of texture and pattern throughout tablescapes, which paired unique linens with simple tabletop design. Metallic chargers were a showcase of style that hosted baby blue napkins and menus that echoed an elevated simplicity of the design's invitation suite, one of many cohesive elements that tied the shoot together. Garden whimsy is often interpreted for weddings, and this team of vendors chose to bring a clear vision of color, European style and timeless influence into one design to create a gorgeous showcase of sophisticated whimsy.
