Creative Engagement Celebration Ideas: Artistic Workshops at Four Seasons Westlake

Spotlight
Discover hands-on classes led by Wanda Wen, offering unique experiences in calligraphy, journal-making, and hand-dyeing textiles.

Looking for a creative way to celebrate your engagement? Wanda Wen, the founder of the artisanal paper and stationery boutique Soolip, has partnered with Four Seasons Westlake to offer Soolip Creative Arts Workshops.

Held in the resort’s beautiful greenhouse, Wen leads classes on thoughtful details such as the art of gift wrapping, journal-making, calligraphy and more. The workshops rotate throughout the year and are also available privately. This Spring Wen is teaching techniques that include hand-dying textiles with wildflower ink on March 22 (scarves for your bridal party!) and “Ink Play,”  a watercolor workshop on April 19. If you’re looking for a more personal and curated experience, Wen will arrange custom workshops that fit your aesthetic. Best of all, her warm support and sense of humor put the non-artistic souls at ease.

Afterwards, clients can take advantage of all the Four Seasons has to offer, from sunbathing by the newly renovated grand pool at The Cove or indulging in self-care at the spa. Whether it’s a bachelor or bachelorette party, bridesmaids luncheon, or just a reason to spend time with your bridal party, Wen’s workshops are a wonderful bonding experience—not only do you learn a new art or technique, but you also leave with a tangible memory of the day.
