Michelle and Tony's celebration at Korakia Palm Springs has us dreaming of a desert getaway- we're obessed! The two are both from Ohio, but wanted a destination wedding to marry their love for travel and their desire for a small, intimate celebration. The duo fell in love with the unique character and Mediterranean vibe of the Korakia and knew it would perfectly suit their desert chic aesthetic. Michelle and Tony tied the knot in front of a stunning Moroccan-inspired doorway, making for the most picturesque ceremony site. Guests were invited to celebrate the occasion at a modern-meets-rustic styled reception. Could it get any more perfect?
From the bride:
"Since the resort is so ornate and a breathtaking contrast against the desert backdrop, we wanted our decor elements to be subtle and let the venue speak for itself. Because of this, we kept our color palette soft with hues of whites, and pale blushes peering through hints of greenery. We incorporated flower petals in the fountains and at the doorway in which we said our vows. This was an exciting way to add texture, which was key due to the mild color story chosen.
We also played with texture at dinner by effortlessly placing crinkle medium-weave napkins alongside simplistic dishware and Parisian glassware. Though we only had 65 guests in attendance, Tony and I understood that the day would fly by, so we decided to share dinner with just the two of us at a sweetheart table with matching "Mr. and Mrs." denim jackets. We opted for warm, inviting farm tables for our guests to enjoy their family-style meals and later danced the night away all too quickly under bistro lighting. Our guests closed out the evening with sparklers for a cheesy last dance to "Firework" by Katy Perry."
