Enchanting Blush Wedding at Rancho De Las Palmas

“I didn’t know you had a hot brother!” was the phrase that started it all for Annie Forbes and Matthew St. Amand’s whirlwind romance. After years of working alongside her friend (and now sister-in-law) Natalie at Woodranch, Annie was immediately drawn to Matthew after seeing him one evening and couldn’t resist finding out more. Luckily enough, the same night she spotted him, Matthew had also asked his sister about Annie. As Matthew's visits to “see his sister” at Woodranch became more and more frequent, the couple began talking and eventually went on their first date, where Matthew arrived with a bouquet of red roses. Annie and Matthew regularly enjoyed weekend walks around Castaic Lake and after nearly a year of dating, Matthew proposed at the lake. Under the guise of a photoshoot between Annie and Natalie, the girls arrived at the lake only to find Matthew at the final spot for their photoshoot with a sign that read “Will you marry me?” After an emotional proposal, Matthew and Annie went to his parents’ home, where both their families were waiting to celebrate. Annie said, “He planned out the most special proposal for me and I will forever cherish that memory.” The April wedding at Rancho De Las Palmas in Moorpark was steeped in elegance. Annie wowed in a Martina Liana Bridal gown with floral detailing, an open back and a plunging neckline. The palette for the bridal party was a nice compliment to Annie and Matt’s bold white and black looks, with bridesmaids wearing blush hues and groomsmen looking dapper in grey. After a moving ceremony outdoors among the vast nature of the ranch, the event moved inside for a reception and night of dancing. Details like wooden signs and framed photos paid homage to the couple, and refined tablescapes matched blush tones and featured orchids and roses among other blooms. For the couple, who rarely spend days apart from each other, their nuptials were the perfect start to their new forever. The duo opted for a short honeymoon in Solvang and plan to do a longer trip in Hawaii to celebrate in the future after Annie finishes nursing school and Matthew finishes his apprenticeship.
