Ethereal Romance at the Grand View 

Aptly named for its sprawling vistas, the Grand View in Malibu truly lives up to its name. Melding coastal views with mountain vistas, this styled shoot pulled in romantic details in an ethereal design. A key focus for the design team, headed by Jessica Valentine and the team from Manifestive Events, was to bring the natural beauty of their So-Cal surroundings seamlessly into the shoot through florals and unique touches. With a special focus on blush tones, florals and décor pulled in hues of whites and pinks for a whimsical finish that incorporated dried elements. A highlight was the gentle incorporation of peonies in full bloom, and various dainty roses even adorned a minimalistic confection. To pay homage to the Malibu coast more prominently in the design, the team featured wood accents, hand-torn paper goods and gauzy linens. Tablescapes were contrasted against a wooden table and paired neutral tones and blushes with terracotta plates. Golden accents were a subtle add-on that rounded out the palette and added a regal touch. Our bride and groom wowed in dramatic attire that elevated the coastal setting. With refined backdrops for both the ceremony and reception, the Grand View’s architecture and outdoor spaces offered copious spaces to soak in the view and capture special moments. Perhaps the most fitting description of this elaborate design would be light and airy: the entire aesthetic paired the carefree elegance of Malibu with subtle hints of sophistication.
