How would you describe what you do?
I help couples navigate through what can be an otherwise completely overwhelming wedding world, and work all the way through the wedding day to ensure the best experience possible for them. I get to know my couples to the extent that I am almost an extension of them as we plan, and in growing this relationship, we can seamlessly plan a day together that is everything they could envision and more.
How long have you been in the business?
This will be my seventh wedding season- I am honored to have worked with over 140 couples to date.
What is your philosophy of a wedding planner and their role in helping brides and grooms plan their wedding?
It’s my job to make the process as seamless and enjoyable as possible. With years of experience and an arsenal of trusted vendor resources and relationships, I help couples build the day of their dreams without having to waste a ton of time pouring over the endless options available for them. I also pride myself in working with couples to develop the overall vision for their day- whether they know they have one or not!- and assist in bringing it to fruition.
Do you offer packages: If so, what are they?
I offer three packages (two full-planning, one coordination) that you may use as a starting point to further customize with additional items as you see fit. This means that if you don't see exactly what you need, I will be more than happy to custom design the perfect package just for you. Items may be eliminated from packages as long as the package does not fall below our minimum service requirements.
What is your most popular package and why?
Nowadays, more and more couples are finding a great fit in my Platinum (full-service) package due to the ever growing scope of wedding planning and all the options available these days. Having a Planner alongside to make the process as smooth as possible has become more of a necessity- with couples seeing their wedding as an investment, they more often than not want to ensure that it is a fun and seamless experience from start to finish.
Are you able to counsel me on wedding etiquette?
Of course! Although that goes with the warning that etiquette these days has a great deal of flexibility. I am happy to be a sounding board on any specific questions or situations you may need an experts input on.
How do you charge? What are your rates?
Packages begin at a flat rate and then are further customized on a client-by-client basis depending upon wedding size, location, details, and individual needs. We met with her several times in person, and each time she was well-prepared and had a good grasp on the details specific to our wedding, which is impressive considering the number of weddings that she must plan each year.
Where Kerrie blew us away was in her day-of coordination. She had an unbelievable timeline that kept everyone on time and on track. Everything ran so smoothly with her in charge. My husband and I were able to enjoy our wedding knowing that she had everything under control. Her execution was so spectacular that we actually were able to enjoy cocktail hour with our guests and eat our entire dinner, rare occurrences for most wedding couples.
