Lacey and Kris first met when they were both attending the University of Santa Barbara. Eleven years later, Kris proposed to Lacey while on a romantic elephant ride at an elephant rescue in Thailand.
Textured floral arrangements by Stella Bloom Designs added a bohemian feel to the affair with a neutral color palette of white, green and taupe and touches of deep purple and burgundy. The semicircle that created the ceremony backdrop featured pampas grass among the florals, which created a subtle boho accent against the rustic-style chairs. Touches of gold, such as the table’s chargers and mercury votives, brought a touch of elegance
Flickering light set a romantic tone to the reception with votive candles tucked into the rich green garlands flowing down the tables as well as being displayed on the bar and around the fireplace.
Sweet details were sprinkled throughout Lacey and Kris’ wedding day, showcasing the fun-loving spirit of the couple. A marquee spelling “LOVE” welcomed guests to the ceremony, while a cute photo-booth bus entertained family and friends before the start of the reception.
Lacey and Kris wanted a cake that was both fun and delicious, and MJB Cakes created just that with a three-tiered ivory cake donned in foliage and fresh florals, with each tier filled with a different flavor: peanut butter and jelly, cookies and cream, and salted caramel. In addition, a s’mores station was set up in a nod to the couple’s passion for the outdoors and adventure.
