Melissa and Owen Womble paid homage to their shared faith and values on their wedding day at Nella Terra Cellars, and their showcase of love was a spectacular celebration. The entire day was themed around a phrase from Melissa's late grandfather: Love is the Reason. It was a heartwarming nod to the union of families that honored loved ones and made for a beautiful motif. The couple opted for an intimate and aptly meaningful ceremony at St. Michael's Catholic Church, honoring their relationship through their shared values and beliefs, something that has been a key aspect of Melissa and Owen's relationship. The ceremony was a powerful showcase of love with a small audience, which served as a nice contrast to the larger and more opulent reception at Nella Terra allowing the couple to celebrate their day with an array of ambiances. The venue, known for its vast open spaces, harmoniously merges the serenity of nature with an understated elegance. For Owen and Melissa, both with a love for the outdoors and a penchant for places that echo authenticity, it was the perfect setting to celebrate their love."
To actualize their vision of an elevated yet classic modernity, bride Melissa tapped into her love for graphic design and worked to meticulously plan the wedding-day details. Her invitation suite was a highlight that captured the essence of Owen and Melissa's love story with a stylish twist. Melissa wowed in a classic gown with a plunging neckline and sleek silhouette, and her shoes brought in something blue for chic accessorization. The bridal party brought the essence of the vineyards into their looks featuring various hues of sage and our groomsmen and groom were timeless in black. A definite style highlight was Melissa's custom jean jacket which she adorned for the reception. It featured a raw-edge hem, pearl embellishments and (of course) "Mrs. Womble." The reception transformed Nella Tera's expansive winery landscapes into a black-and-white evening of elegance. Tablescapes featured white florals and linens and wooden chairs for a hint of rustic charm, all contrasted with bold black signage and accents. "Love is the Reason" found its way into various design elements, including a neon sign and paper goods with the phrase. Perhaps the sweetest detail was the gelato cart, where guests enjoyed delicious desserts in cups featuring the wedding date and "Love is the Reason." Melissa and Owen's wedding was a unique blend of contemporary elements melded with family tradition, and the carefully curated ambiance and ease of the day was a true testament to the genuine love of the duo.
