Reconnecting after being first introduced in the third grade, Justine and Jonathan shared a sweet dance at her high school Cotillion, and the rest was history! Eighteen years and many adventures later, Jonathan proposed during a romantic Yellowstone picnic that prompted Justine to ask, “Is this real?” in surprise. Re-opened in 1915, San Francisco City Hall’s incredible Beaux-Arts architecture served as a truly stunning backdrop for the couple to profess their love for one another. While opting for a more intimate ceremony with only their immediate family in attendance—a decision that allowed Justine’s grandmother to be present—the venue’s grandeur invited an air of sophistication and elegance, mirrored beautifully in the bride’s gorgeous off-the-shoulder, A-line gown, pearl accessories and Jimmy Choo heels. Her bridal bouquet was made up of bouncing stems that accented white anemones, all tied together with a delicate pale blue ribbon. Despite having built a home, family and life together over the past (almost) two decades, the paperwork had gone unsigned—that is, until her grandmother signed it on their big day! The ring warming ceremony, a moment for each member of the family to fill the wedding bands with blessings, love and support, was especially memorable for the pair. Though the newlyweds plan to hold a larger party in the years to come, Justine and Jonathan felt that their private celebration at San Francisco City Hall was a heartfelt expression of gratitude and a display of love in its purest form.
