There are three new places for bridal shopping in Los Angeles. Looking for an antique tiara or 70’s gown? Head downtown to Gossamer, the first retail location of the online vintage brand. The shop is located in a breezy space within the historic corridor known as ROW DTLA. Owner Emme Nguyen scours the U.S. to source unique garments based on design, fabric, rarity and lasting style. There is a selection of classic veils, shawls and crowns as well as designer resale items and jackets. A few doors down, newly opened Vrai & Oro (777 S Alameda St.; vraiandoro.com) offers fine jewelry and engagement rings from ethical and sustainable sources.
East Bay bridal boutique Kinsley James Couture (West Hollywood, 8231 W Third St.; kinsleyjames.com) expanded from its Walnut Creek home to West Hollywood in April. The 3,900-square-foot modern salon, is run by former event planners and sisters-in-law Dawn Silva Rigney and Amber Silva. The shop will be the region’s exclusive carrier of designers Persy, Idan Cohen, Liz Martinez and Pallas Couture, in addition to Marchesa, Rivini, Anne Barge, and others.
