Ali and Greg: A Hollywood Love Story at Vibiana
The hard-working, entertainment industry couple envisioned an elegant, garden-inspired wedding that infused their love for Hollywood while being incredibly fun. Ali gravitated towards purples and blushes, so Sterling Engagements incorporated a greenery to contrast against the softness and femininity of the color palette.
Moments drawn from their relationship and Hollywood played a key role in the design, from the escort cards and tables inspired after movies they loved to the cocktails created to represent their hometowns. A variety of king and round tables filled the historic cathedral, with each shape featuring different styles of dramatic centerpieces ranging from collections of individual vases to collections of small bud vases. The vibrant purple and blush table scapes included textured flowers featuring garden roses, blush cymbidium, blue curiosa roses and lavender spray roses. Vender spray roses and fushica roses with hints of eucalyptus leaves and jasmine greens nestled among the votive candles.
Since Ali's mom, Sue, is a food blogger, the dining experience was key component. The mother-of--the-bride worked alongside the Vibiana's Chef Neal Fraser to craft a duo menu featuring a duo of miso black cod with forbidden black rice and mole braised short rib with pepitas, corn polenta and cojita cheese followed by a decadent dessert trio of salted caramel budino, pistachio pavlovas and a raspberry jam-filled bomboloni with chocolate sauce.
