Racquel and Marc's wedding may have been pushed back and downsized due to COVID-19 restrictions, but nevertheless, the ceremony was just as beautiful and enchanting as their original plans.
Amy & Cory: History Buffs at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles
History buffs Amy and Cory drew inspiration for their wedding from their love of the Dinosaur Hall at The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, ultimately choosing the location as their wedding venue. Planner Kristeen LaBrot added various hints of wildlife decor throughout the celebration, with the invitations and programs nodding to vintage museum exhibition signage with bold type and classic detailing.
Florist Fleur de Rye played up the nature exhibits by including ferns, monstera leaves and air plants in the bride's overflowing bouquet and created an open feeling to the reception with an abundance of luscious greenery. Touches of gold and lustrous gems added a hint of glam, while understated tablescapes drew attention to the impressive T-Rex exhibit in the center of the space. The Silent Comedy, the band that was playing when the couple met, performed at the reception, adding a sweet personal touch to the affair. A wildlife puzzle served as Amy and Cory's guest book, where guests were encouraged to write a sweet note to the newlyweds on a puzzle piece. The bride and groom gave guests a coloring book from their company Color Me Book, and an one-of-a-kind archeology-inspired cake and dinosaur themed dessert bar closed out the night.
