Deborah & Brian: Moroccan Twist with Vibrant Pinks at Bel-Air Bay Club
Deborah couldn’t be more excited to reveal how she met the love of her life. Six years ago, they were brought together by an ad agency called RPA. With the help of Instant Messenger, Brian messaged Deborah. It started with one work-related question, then after a couple hours of exchanging words, Brian invited Deborah to a Halloween party with his friends. Immediately, they were inseparable. As much as Deborah and Brian wanted to keep their office romance a secret, their co-workers knew all along. “We snuck out early during holiday parties!” she laughed.
Over the years, they continued their romance. One day, Brian surprised Deborah at Sunstone Villa in Santa Ynez with a beautiful custom ring. The two lovebirds exactly knew where they wanted to be wed, “Bel-Air Bay Club had all of the features we were looking for: a peaceful drive on the PCH, beautiful ocean views, a private and intimate setting, and some beautiful Spanish style architectural accents.”
Inspired by bougainvillea, she wanted to add vibrant, lush florals. Another key item of her venue was the Moroccan pattern, inspired by her father’s Moroccan side. The patterns were set on the invitations, linens, and the gorgeous cake. The theme also continued on the unique patterned lighting and hanging lanterns. The warm purple lights added a romantic ambiance to the room. At the ceremony, Brian’s mom custom designed a Tree of Life quilt that was used as their chuppah cover. Deborah and Brian also invited their parents and siblings to the chuppah to read the seven blessings. The venue also included a magnificent band, delicious cocktails, and a photo booth equipped with smurf hats (because Brian’s last name Strumpf translates to smurfs in French.) It added playfulness to a magical happily ever after.
