Ranjani & Eric: A Stunning Gold and Gem Toned Wedding at the Natural History Museum
What could possibly be more magical than two science buffs celebrating their nuptials at the Los Angeles Natural History Museum? Well, Eric and Ranjani did just that in front of 200 guests with a traditional Indian Baraat and a gorgeous reception to follow. The two said their "I-do's" in the Rotunda of the Natural History Museum and then welcomed guests into the African Mammal Hall where they dinned amongst the elephants, hyenas, and a variety of other incredible animals.
For some added fun, the couple chose to incorporate a custom, life-size dinosaur dressed to the nines in Indian-inspired garb in place of the traditional horse or elephant during their Baraat ceremony. The dinosaur was later joined by another dinosaur friend as they made a special appearance during cocktail hour to mingle with guests. The couple also chose to have the world-famous Gem and Mineral Hall open throughout their celebration for guests to wander and dazzle at some the of the world's finest gems.
With such a stunning venue, the only decor needed was the gorgeous floral designs they used in burgundy and purple colors, accented with beautiful golds throughout the affair. It most certainly was a merriment to remember.
