Scott & Cassandra: An Enchanting Oceanfront Wedding at The Cliffs Resort
Scott and Cassandra were married at the beautiful Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa with a full, traditional Catholic Mass surrounded by friends and family. With the couple both being Cal Poly Alums, SLO was near and dear to their hearts holding a lot of history for the two, and of course the city the two were first introduced to each other by Scott’s best friend and best man. Their cocktail hour and reception destination was the beautiful Cliffs Resort, which offered breathtaking views overlooking the ocean. Scott and Cassandra certainly arrived in style in a 1940 Cadillac LaSalleWe.
Classic romance was the gasp-worthy theme of night, as the reception was held on the lawn of the venue under an exquisite white tent and adorned in white and blush florals with golden details all around. Crystal chandeliers and candles lit this enchanting celebration well into the night. Personal touches were not to be missed throughout reception as each detail was handcrafted and built with sentimental value.
Their wedding cake was decorated in a unique, hand carved lace pattern which mimicked a photo Cassandra had of her “dream wedding cake” she held onto since she was nine years old. The couple even had their own special beer brewed by their close friend and owner of a Berkeley-based brewery. He worked with the two in creating their own signature flavor. “The Better Half” was served to their guests as a golden sour with fresh blackberry and vanilla bean flavor. Yum!
During the reception there were actually about five minutes of rain, which turned out to be a true gift as it turned the sky into the most spectacular backdrop for photos; and just in time for a stunning sunset. The night was made complete with a grand sparkler send-off and one last cheers of champagne. This was one sensational wedding indeed, and we loved every detail of it!
