Victoria & Nick: Romantic Champagne and Raspberry-hued Wedding at Carondelet House
Planner Hylah White of Hylah White Special Events was inspired by the couple’s Valentine’s Day wedding date to create a nuptials that felt classically romantic. The Carondelet House laid a slightly industrial foundation upon which touches of rustic romance created a modern-day fairy tale.
Victoria fell in love with her Pronovias gown’s subtle beading and the train’s soft texture while each bridesmaid chose from a variety of champagne-toned Jenny Yoo and Adrianna Papell gowns, some encrusted with sparkling gold beads.
Reception tables were “covered with floor-length blush linens, and on each table was a unique arrangement of fuchsia and plum flowers, candles in antique mercury glass votives, and crystal stemware” says White. A unique arrangement of décor at each table encouraged guests to wander from table to table, mingling and taking in the room’s “organic, romantic vibe.”
Victoria’s cascading bouquet was filled with raspberry, fuchsia, and plum garden roses and ranunculus, accented with natural greenery and ivory. At the ceremony, a garland of garden roses and ranunculus centered the bridal party’s barnyard table, and roses in individual vases clustered in the center of the reception table. The floral design’s undone greenery coupled with its bright pinks and jewel tones added feminine flair to the design’s elegantly muted palette and lent a trendy and romantic feel to the exposed brick of the ceremony venue.
