Jenna Kingsley and Riley Keating wed at the Junipero Serra Museum in San Diego in a day that featured bursting florals and a vibrant display of color. The couple's autumn wedding featured an array of delicate pastels and carefully-curated touches planned by One Fabulous Event. With gorgeous results, Jenna and Riley wove their personalities into details to create a unique ambience against the iconic Spanish Revival-style of the venue. As photographer Rachael Polack commented,"The wedding day was one of the most vibrant, cheerful days Ive had the honor of capturing." An elevated costume party themed welcome dinner set the tone for a lighthearted and loving weekend of festivities before the ceremony and reception. A special emphasis on the guest experience took a prominent role in the weekend in addition to the formal union of our newlyweds, which made for a uniquely meaningful and memorable celebration.
Mai Floral Design crafted a glowing ombre of pastel florals into a dramatic arch that served as a backdrop for the ceremony; it was a blend of lighthearted whimsy and classic elegance that was a beautiful balance that melded color with subtle style. Our bride and groom opted to keep their looks timeless, with Jenna in a dramatic strapless ballgown and Riley looking sleek in a black tuxedo. Jenna's bouquet was a sumptuous meld of pastels that was complimented by her bridesmaids' bouquets which were each a different monochromatic accessory. An alfresco reception lined banquet tables with clean white linens and bud vases of pastel flora. Baby blues found themselves center stage in menus and signage, which were a mix of geometric and retro influences. Jenna opted to pull her hair back into a chic low bun for the reception, which created a dazzling second interpretation of her wedding-day look. Details that were central to the couple found themselves intermixed, with many homages to their two cats on display as well as an 'ugly t-shirt toss' to replace the bouquet toss, which left guests with a delightfully cheesy keepsake. For one final detail, Jenna and Riley knew they had to remake Anne Hathaway's iconic "Princess Diaries" dance scene on their wedding dance floor, complete with white gloves and a tiara.
