Retro Inspired Elopement Shoot

Trends

Creative director and photographer, Alexandra Wallace, first got the inspiration for this fun retro elopement shoot when her and her boyfriend vacationed in Santa Barbara’s Autocamp. Alexandra says: “I started thinking about how it would be a perfect location for the couple that wants the fun and festive feel that comes with a wedding, but prefers to take the more private and adventurous road.” This luxury airstream trailer resort would serve as the perfect location for this exciting and festive shoot to take place.

Alexandra brings this shoot to life with the help of OMG Facepainting and their glittery cake pops, as well as Sugar Cat Studios for their adorable assortment of cupcakes. The décor at Autocamp was already fully renovated in a way that would compliment the shoot. In order to make the place a little more festive, Alexandra incorporated a tissue paper garland from Paper Fox LA and props and accessories from White Faux Taxidermy, Lola’s Confetti Shop, and The Garter Girl by Julianne Smith.

“I've seen a whole lot of weddings, and like most ladies out there, have been collecting ideas over the years for my own. But the idea of an elopement has such a romantic ring to it - the spontaneity, the whirlwind and adventure!” - Alexandra Wallace

We are swooning over this exciting and retro elopement shoot and can’t wait to see more from Alexandra!
