Nick and Kiley Rivas wed at the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta in Mexico in a destination wedding that was an ethereal oceanside celebration exemplifying a modern destination wedding. The couple initially were introduced by mutual friends and spent six years dating before officially tying the knot with a celebratory getaway weekend and wedding in Puerto Vallarta. The wedding-day design opted to keep florals and décor classic and timeless, allowing the tropical ambiance of Mexico's locale to infuse the day with a unique subtlety. Florals were centered around white blooms featuring roses and orchids with eucalyptus adding a whimsical texture, and color found its way into the fold with Nick's suit, a head-turning jewel-toned ensemble worn with a white button-down giving a hint of beach causal. Kiley wore a gown from the Dress Theory that featured a chic open-back design with a cowl-neck and barely-there straps: a perfect vision of coastal beauty fit for a goddess.

The day was centered around ensuring a memorable and stress-free experience for Nick and Kiley, as well as their loved ones. The couple decided to forego a bridal party for simplicity, allowing an elevated level of intimacy and special moments between the newlyweds. To maximize celebration time, Kiley and Nick took the majority of their portraits before the ceremony so they could participate in the cocktail hour. Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta's property proved to be a dazzling backdrop offering photo-ops around every corner with whispers of tropical and sophisticated. It was essential to curate a playlist for the evening for the music-loving couple, who also went all out with their dance floor that featured LED lights. A mariachi band also made a welcomed appearance, continuing a tradition from Nick's family. The ceremony's extravagant floral arch was repurposed to decorate the sweetheart table for the reception, framing our newlyweds in a blooming border.

The Hyatt Ziva Puerto Rico helped prepare much of the wedding-day logistics, allowing for Kiley and Nick to enjoy a true weekend of relaxation and love with family and friends during their destination wedding. Making the most of their international locale, the couple ended the night with a display of fireworks that was truly a grandiose end to the night and made for some of the most darling photos infused with love and pure joy. The resulting wedding photos are a sumptuous showcase of love and celebration in Puerto Vallarta expertly captured by Katie Ruther, embracing a sophisticated tropical ambiance with ease.
