Quirky & Fashionable Engagement Session: Ki & Bo

Trends

Featuring engagement sessions is still new territory for us which means we get especially excited each time we receive a submission. As much as we adore sifting through weddings and sharing all of the inspirational details with you, there's something magical about engagement sessions. They capture a moment in time when the thought of marriage is still fresh and the concept of creating a life together is still hard to fully comprehend. They serve as every couple's opportunity to express who they are and what it was about the other person that first made them weak at the knees. Engagement sessions truly are a picture of pure, genuine love. Ki and Bo's session was all of that and more. The adorable couple chose to bypass typical engagement settings and simply have fun at their favorite places (hello, shopping!) with Christopher Todd trailing behind them and capturing it all. Smiles, laughter and love fill every frame and that's exactly what an engagement session should be.

"This quirky couple met at Dave & Busters 8 years ago while playing a zombie shooting game - it was love at first sight! They are each other's best friends and soulmates. They are a lovely couple, fun to be around and both look forward to saying "I do" next May.

The concept of the shoot was to reflect the progression of their long relationship. Ki and Bo are both from NJ and their early dates during long winter months included dinner, movies and being mall rats. The first location was at Santa Monica Place to celebrate their past. Bo and Ki wanted to recreate romantic magazine ads for Ki's favorite stores. The next location was the Santa Monica Pier where they fell in love with Santa Monica and decided to live. And finally, LACMA represents glitz and glamour of LA, their new home, with a touch of class." -Valerie Gordon of Events by Valerie
