After their serendipitous meeting at a Super Bowl party in 2016, Lauren and Doug Esquer were inseparable, despite living nearly two hours away from each other. They spent their time together making memories hiking and enjoying the outdoors before Doug popped the question atop a mountain at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. On their spring wedding day, the couple's passion for nature and the ocean was on full display at The Flower Fields Barn with colorful blooms as the backdrop. Their color palette featured hues of whites and mauve, effortlessly matching the rows of lush fields. In addition to the idyllic ambience, Lauren and Doug’s nuptials had personalized details; both Lauren and Doug’s fathers created craft beer for the festivities while the bride’s parents of Zak’s Chocolate made their award-winning brownies to accompany the churros and ice cream sundae bar. After exchanging “I do’s” in front of the floral-filled altar, newlyweds amazed everyone with a choregraphed first dance to “Hooked on a Feeling” from Guardians of the Galaxy movie soundtrack. “We loved this experience together and leaning into each other's areas of strengths to make for a fun and memorable first dance!” Bride Lauren said. Guests sipped on customized drinks from Snake Oil Cocktails complete with various floral garnishes and created souvenirs from the day in the photo bus. From start to finish, Sarah Blessinger with Kindred Weddings and Events captured the essence of Lauren and Doug’s love story and showcased their personalities perfectly.
