Los Angeles–based Nicole Alexandra Designs’ aesthetic is driven by textures, layers and natural elements—from wood and stone to glass and greenery. “Organic touches can be found throughout my designs, especially in the more modern ones,” notes owner Nicole Gillis. “Different textures and patinas add complexity and depth to any table, which leads to a believable and approachable design.” With a passion for color and flowers, Gillis set to work incorporating both into this inspiration board. A lively palette of green, blue, pink and purple is accentuated by a floral motif seen in details such as the invitations and matchbox party favors. This style of decor is also incredibly versatile, as it plays well with both neutral and bold looks, enabling the couple to integrate subtle floral moments throughout the wedding, from bridesmaids’ dresses to napkins. “You can encompass many colors and textures into a design,” Gillis explains. “And when done right, it can be whimsical and beautiful without feeling over the top.”
