Dee Lee Designs and Shawna Yamamoto Event Design transformed the arid desert of Joshua Tree National Park into a dreamy iridescent oasis with glimmers of bohemian beauty. Branching out from expected neutral tones, Dee Lee embraced warm pastel tones to evoke a romantic atmosphere. The custom-made asymmetrical arch featuring pastel-dyed monstera palm leaves and bold shimmering circles was a showstopper and set the stage for a unique design. Luxurious floral arrangements included dried elements, such as monstera palm leaves in soft pink, purple and champagne hues alongside classic roses and peonies. The table décor followed suit with dazzling glassware accompanied by blush and gold dinnerware, all of which were accentuated by an arrangement of ombre pastel florals. A unique touch were the romantic phrases on the back of the bride’s and groom’s ghost chairs. Rose-gold calligraphy place cards and a striking invitation suite captured the boho-glam crossover. Stepping outside of the box was key for Dee Lee. As she explains, “Exploring color in a desert setting and playing around with nontraditional décor brought our idea of elegant boho-glam to life.”
