Santa Ynez–based planner Jill La Fleur of La Fleur Weddings and Events finds inspiration in working with couples who think outside the box. “Whether it’s finding a French antique or something from Anthropologie, my job is to be a great listener and create an atmosphere that is customized to my clients.” La Fleur, who specializes in destination weddings around the world (she’s currently busy designing a wedding in Sweden) creates unique environments by scouting home stores, craft websites, fabric outlets, antique stores and even specialty food shops. We asked her to share some of her must-haves for special occasions. “These are all items that I have used in weddings or have purchased for myself that I just love,” explains La Fleur. Let the inspiration begin!
