We were awestruck by the unique ceremony setting creative soul Bess Wyrick of Celadon & Celery created for our Fall issue of California Wedding Day magazine. Inspired by Japanese artist Shinji Turner-Yamamoto, the avant garde floral designer created a unique altar by melding a tepee structure with a bonsai tree, which brings to life Vibiana’s marble interior. An asymmetrical stream of phalaenopsis orchids are nestled among olive tree branches, while beautiful rose gold chairs and milk glass vases filled with olive branches add elegance to the ceremony seating. The soft mint and rose gold color palette, with hints of ivory, sets a romantic tone and we just couldn't be more in love with the outcome.
Romance is added to the ceremony structure by wrapping a rose gold ribbon overlaid with intricate lace around the exposed roots at the base of the bonsai tree.
Deconstructed light green lace creates an intricate letterpress invitation suite with graceful designs that vary from piece to piece. Combined with a classic matte gold font and a flourished script, the result is timeless. The two-color letterpress invitation boasts sage and matte gold on antique white 179-pound stock with single-color accompanying pieces.
A pink and yellow hand-tied bouquet of dahlia blooms, amaranthus, olive branches, peonies, iris and scented geranium wrapped in lace adds a pop of unexpected color to the cool mint and rose gold palette.
