Kristen Oato and Brady Teufel’s vibrant wedding in The Gardens at Peacock Farms in Arroyo Grande featured a lush garden setting with accents of bright pink and purple flowers, but what truly made it special were the paper cranes that were delicately suspended from the trees. Each of the 1,001 gilded origami cranes were carefully folded by the bride’s grandmother, who is Japanese and from Hawaii, while Kristen’s father strung them on fishing line. In both cultures, the crane symbolizes good luck, making it a fitting— and meaningful—part of the décor for Kristen and Brady’s day.
